RIAA Gold Award for Images and Words
This item is the pride of my collection. I obtained it from another collector who obtained it many years ago through his connections in the business.
This is the framed award. The inscription reads "Presented to Dream Theater to commemorate the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the Atco Records cassette and CD Images and Words".
The award presented is a Gold Award, represented by a gold coated empty cassette case.
There is an official RIAA award which is holographic in nature.
The centre plague contains the inscription.
This is a standard copy of the CD.
This is the image of the burning heart surrounded by barbed wire that was used heavily on Images and Words and featured in the Pull Me Under video.
It is now signed on the back by Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie, John Myung and John Petrucci.
